Our Generation
Our generation is all about technology. Everyone uses technology in some way these days. People are also becoming lazy. People are starting to wonder how we ever lived before technology. Some of the most common technology that most everyone uses is Computers, Laptops,Cell phones, and Ipods. Before technology, people would spend all their times at libraries doing homework and research for school. With the technology our generation has today, we have internet where we could go to any search engine and ask questions and get research rather then going to the library and looking up research in books. Technology is becoming very advanced.
The most recent forms of technology would be Mac lap tops, and ipods. The ipod touch is very popular for apple. You could take your ipod with you anywhere, you have your music ,apps, and your internet all on the go. The newest invention from apple would have to be the IPAD. Everyone seems to want an IPAD which is basically a big ipod touch/ a mini computer which you could also take on the go. I have a P.C and a mac. For me , I personally like the P.C better because it is easier for me to control because it is what i am used to, and what i have grown up with. Everyone says that they love the macs, but I personally think that they are really confusing and hard to work with. My mac is my backup computer for when I really need to do something for school. Having a mac, is not something that i really need, and people are spending so much money for electronics that they do not really need.
Every year, technology keeps on improving. Soon enough, technology is going to take over the world and make a lot of places go out of buisness. People get to read books over the internet, so there is no need for a book store or libraries. People can watch movies on the computer, so there is no reason to go to the movie theatre or to rent or buy movies. People used to go to the store and buy magazines, and now they get to read about things on websites or blogs. Technology could be the reason for bad economy. The other day, I found my first ipod. It was the first nano that every one wanted. I got it for my 5th grade graduation. Since then, i have been through many different ipods. Now i hav an ipod touch and my sister has the nano with the video camera built into it. It is crazy to think that within just 5 year, technology has advance so much. This makes me think about what the new invention will be in 5 years from now.
One thing that has changed over the past few years, would be texting. Just a few years back, the razor was the most famous flip phone, and now the iphone and blackberry are the most popular phones and they keep getting upgraded. People never used to text people a few years back. People would pick up the phone and talk to their friends and family. Now people dont really like to talk on the phone because they have texting. Texting could make people bad spellers, and texting could turn people anti-social. Very little people still talk on the phone due to texting. I do not like to talk on the phone, I basically text all the time. My cell phone bill comes out to so much money because of all the texting I do. My dad had to get my an unlimited texting plan because my bills were coming out to so much money ! I am sure that I am not the only person who has an outragouse cell phone bill.
This all proves that our generation is basically all about technology. Technology keeps on advancing and it will continue to advance as time goes by weather it is with computers, laptops,game systems, ipods, cell phones, or anything else that has to do with technology. If you look back 20 years ago, there was not much technology. Technology has advanced with in a very short period of time. Something that I think about all the time is, how technology will advance by the year 2020 !? Technology could be a good and bad thing, but it is kind of scary to think about how fast time is going by, and how rapidly technology is increasing!
